To consider the amended Additional Restrictions Grant Policy as attached as Appendix B.

RESOLVED that the leader:

· approves the amended Additional Restrictions Grant Policy as attached as Appendix B.

Reasons for the decision:

In response to the public health emergency, Coronavirus (Covid-19) the Government has provided additional financial support for businesses during the periods of local and national lockdowns. Further ‘Restart Grants’ have been made available to support businesses during the phased recovery period.

The Restart Grants are focussed on businesses with a rateable value and to support the non-rated businesses and organisations the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) criteria has been amended. The ARG will now be directed at supporting the non-rated businesses, organisations in reopening safely and in line with the recovery roadmap.
