Purpose:
Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council has requested the release of an additional £1,750 of S106 funds from the remaining community facilities pot at Foresthall Park in order to fill the current funding gap relating to the Foresthall Play Ground Improvement Project following an increase in price of the playground equipment.
Decision:
RESOLVED to approve the release of an additional £1,750 to Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council from the community facilities pot associated with Foresthall Park
S106 fund to secure the Foresthall Play Ground Improvement Project.
Reasons for the decision:
Following public consultation, the parish council has agreed to install more play equipment on the Wilkin's Crescent Play Area and to add additional seating at Watson Green. The proposal has the support of both Ward District Councillors and of County Councillor Ray Gooding. The release of the additional £1,750 of S106 funds is required to secure the Foresthall Play Ground Improvement Project following an increase to the price of the play equipment.
