Purpose:

Uttlesford District Council has advertised and tendered for a competent Building Contractor for the development of 14No. new-build properties and associated works at Thaxted Road, Saffron Walden as set out under planning permission (reference UTT/18/2820/FUL)

The estimated Contract Sum for the works was approximately £3.5m and the project will be awarded under the terms of a JCT 2016 Design & Build Contract.

Decision:

To award the contract to Duncan, Cameron & Hutchinson, being the highest scoring bidder when evaluated in accordance with the published methodology

The contract was tendered in accordance with Contracts Procedure Rules and applicable Regulations as set out in The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended)
