09/06/2022 - Acquisition of Section 106 Properties by the Housing Revenue Account ref: 594 Recommendations Approved
The council has had an ambition of adding 180 new homes to the councils housing stock by a mixture new development through the housing development programme and by appropriate acquisitions. To this end, the council has negotiated a deal with Barratt Homes for the acquisition of 19 new build flats.18 x 1 bed flats and 1 x 2 bed flat.

The S106 contributions will allow the HRA to reduce the HRA funding element on future developments. Reducing HRA borrowing requirements will release money that can be used to invest in the council’s current stock.

18/05/2022 - To approve the updated fees and charges for Saffron Walden Museum ref: 586 Recommendations Approved
The 2022/23 fees and charges for Saffron
Walden Museum were approved at Full Council on 22 February 2022.
However, seven new charges and four amended charges were omitted
from the published papers and therefore have not been approved. The
correct fees and charges are set out in the table below.
